Pumpkin patch!

Yay for Fall! We have this little yearly tradition of going up to
Farmington so the boys can pick their own pumpkins. It is the perfect
way to welcome my favorite season and such a wonderful way to make
idyllic family memories which we will carry close to the heart for
years to come...blah blah blah. Not gonna lie...I almost sold Drewbie
to the pumpkin people. Don't kids know they aren't allowed to be
grouchy on fun outings?! Dude! I NEED every mommy point I can get! Ah
well. We have kick butt pumpkins and some adorable pictures so I
suppose we can count it as a victory. Go me!

All the world's a stage...

How do I love Shakespeare? Let me count the ways...okay so that was totally cheesey but really...I worship The Bard. Wor. Ship. So you can imagine just how happy I was to be able to escape into the Shakespearean world that is Cedar City in the summertime and feast upon not only the "Cornish Pasties," (if you didn't say that with a cockney accent, please go back and read it again to get the full effect), but spend an entire weekend watching Brian Vaughn. I mean...the entire weekend watching plays! Yes. Works. Plays. Words and everything...and if I enjoyed seeing the likes of insanely talented Shakespearean actors like BV, that was just a bonus.

Oh. AND I got to go twice! I went by myself the first time (hey! I couldn't get anyone to commit to going and I WASN'T going to miss it!) and dragged my friend (aka: person who keeps me SANE) Kristi the second time down. She'll deny it but she TOTALLY stalked Brian Vaughn. We saw Henry V, As You Like It (quite possibly my favorite play EVER...and not just because of Antipholus of Syracuse who actually wasn't Antipholus in this show but Orlando...I digress) and Comedy of Errors. SERIOUSLY amazing festival. I cannot WAIT until next year!!!

Kindergarten!

Well, it has finally happened. I have. A kid. In ELEMENTARY school!
Jamison started kindergarten this week and I am sorry...with
absolutely NO bias...that is one ADORABLE kid! I got a little choked
up as I saw him disappear into his room...but after that I found
myself inexplicably doing a little victory jig.

I happen to love the fact that my munchkins are getting older. Jamison
has a hilarious sense of humor and is so fun to hang out with. He is
such a tender heart and is acutely aware of when someone around him
feels left out or may have had their feelings hurt. I love that he is
old enough to go and do fun things with me, to build cool stuff and
tell me jokes that are actually somewhat humorous. He has this
incredible memory (he generally knows exactly where he has hidden
something of mine...whether or not he will actually be forthcoming
with said information is quite another matter) and tends to remember
EVERYTHING I say. Careful, Kimba.

My Jame LOVES kindergarten. Comes out every day with a smile on his
face and exciting things to tell me. Embrace that kiddo...only goes
downhill from here. :)

Sculpture Man

So one day months ago I was puzzled to see Jamison take a box out of
the recycle can and disappear into his room. He was trying to close
his closet door when I walked in and had an "Oh, CRAP" look on his
face. So I opened his closet doors, and there was GARBAGE piled a foot
and a half high. I was BEYOND freaked (that's weird, right?) but
managed to calmly ask him why he was keeping piles of garbage in his
room. "It's for my sculpture," he tells me. AWW! Being the queen of
"express yourself!" I melted at that answer! So we cleaned up the
garbage and decided to start a box sculpture, using approved boxes and
packing tape. He adds on to it when he sees a box he deems worthy...I
draw the line a tampon boxes. My little artistic genius. You should
hear him play the piano.

Baseball!

So, Jamison is teaching Drewbie to play baseball which, and I mean
this in the nicest way...is like the blind leading the blind. But
stinkin cute.

My GOSH I love these boys!!! I love listening to their conversation
as they play catch...giving each other tips. Having boys is the BEST.

Disneyland!
